  2. I really like the cover with the blurry picture of the man sitting. It is descriptive and I understand the book without having all the details of the man. The blurriness also sets a mood, it creates tension with the crisp red type. I like that look.

  3. Kenz! This topic has so much potential and I think that you need to push it a lot further. I once saw an ad that read, "This is why Cambodia will never win a world cup" and it was simply a picture of a Cambodian on crutches with one leg facing a soccer goal with the ball under his nub leg and it was pretty intense. So basically, you can "say a lot" by presenting "a little" and thats what makes it so effective.

As far as everything goes with your designs right now, use a different font! All of those "pre-grunge" fonts are way too tacky for such a serious topic and its really easy to make your type grungy like that. Find a nice/clean font and then take it into photoshop and use the eraser tool (with a grunge brush selected) and erase away the text.

For color, I think that black and white or a sepia tone limitation is quite necessary with some offset color such as the red.

    Great start though, keep pushing.
